I just found these awesome surf and swell pictures and commentary on the coast watch website.
But first a bit of the background. Last Friday was Friday 13th which if you are superstitious can mean ominous things! As it turned out, weather patterns built up in the middle to end of last week to create what turned out to be the biggest swells of the year so far.

It always pays to check the weather, that is for sure. If you got in early (and only if you are a good surfer) you could have had some really awesome surfing. But get in late and ouch…..
