Gold Coast Super GP Buzz Building

Have you checked out my other website? You may want to visit Gold Coast Australia Travel Tips. Thanks for dropping by!

Last week, Gold Coast Super GP buzz really got under way. The buzz started with the first building work on the track. It was quite noticeable for us locals with the first of the overhead bridges being built and the groundwork for the Grandstands.

Works will continue from now until the Super GP Carnival starts on Thursday 22 October 2009. Traffic through the track precinct may experience delays due to the construction, so factor that in when travelling around Surfers Paradise over the next two months.

Whilst the track will be slightly different from the old Gold Coast Indy Track, it isn’t really that different. There are some changes to the pit areas, but the track, grandstands and building of the track will be pretty similar.

We are all looking forward to this new format for motor racing at Gold Coast. It will be interesting to see how Surfers Paradise steps up to the new challenge of hosting this new race.

Keep up to date with my take on Gold Coast Super GP information and if you are looking for accommodation, check out my guide to Super GP Accommodation which I have based around a map so you can really see where you will be staying!

Hope to see you there!
