Is Snorkelling Good In Gold Coast In June?
Visitors often wonder if there is good snorkelling in the Gold Coast and if it is warm enough in June to enjoy it?
Tony from Cooly Dive has been taking lots of people out to snorkel and dive around Cook Island just off Tweed Heads in southern Gold Coast this month.

Snorkelling and dive charters are usually done in the mornings. The Aquatic Blue Charters whale watching tours also run by Tony and Carol usually go out in the mornings.
For the snorkelling trips you’ll get an experienced snorkeling instructor, equipment such as mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit and flotation devices. The trip is out to Cook Island off Tweed Heads on their boat Whale Watcher.
The diving trips are pretty similar in that you get an experienced dive instructor, all equipment and you also go to Cook Island Marine Reserve. In addition you get a practice pool dive before you get on the boat.
Don’t forget to bring towels and swimsuit (bathers) and sunscreen. If you get sea sick – here are some natural ideas to help prevent sea sickness. Make sure you have it covered as there is nothing worse than being sick and not able to enjoy the trip.
Tony, his wife Carol and their son Zac, run these tours. It is great to see a family run business with lots of experience. If you are looking for something a bit special, these are the people to see for your dive, snorkel or whale watching on the Gold Coast.
